Ban Fossil Advertisements in Europe

Fossil fuel advertisements mislead the public, normalize pollution, and encourage harmful consumption at the expense of our health and environment.
While people are suffering the consequences of the climate crisis, we are surrounded by ads that put even more fuel to the flames.
Just as tobacco ads were banned to protect lives, it is time to ban fossil fuel ads - like ads for air travel, cruises, polluting cars and the fossil fuel industry - to prevent the climate crisis from worsening. Fossil fuel companies spend billions on advertising and sponsorships to improve their image and delay vital climate action. Banning fossil advertisements will reduce demand, combat greenwashing, and help governments achieve climate goals more quickly—ensuring a safer, healthier future for everyone.
Therefore we encourage European Commissioner Wopke Hoekstra to start a Ban on Fossil Advertisements
