Stop the supply of European lethal weapons to Ukraine

PETITION TO END THE SUPPLY OF LETHAL WEAPONS TO UKRAINE

We, citizens of European Union member states, express our grave concerns regarding the following issues :

1. The illegal diversion of weapon supplies intended for Ukraine to third countries increases the risk of violence and social destabilisation in other regions.
2. Multiple proven cases of illegal trade and sales through grey schemes have resulted in the embezzlement of weapon supplies intended for Ukraine. Ukrainian officials have been caught red-handed engaging in corrupt activities.
   
3. Supplying weapons to Ukraine will not resolve the conflict and will only contribute to the militarisation of the country, escalating risks and causing unnecessary civilian casualties.
   
4. Weapon supplies intended for Ukraine have been used for subversive terrorist actions within Russian territory, resulting in civilian casualties and destruction of social facilities.
   
5. Weapon supplies to Ukraine divert attention from the current European political agenda, facilitate fraudulent schemes by bureaucrats, drive up inflation in the pan-European market, and are carried out at the expense of social programmes.
   

Therefore, we demand that EU member state governments issue an official statement renouncing the supply of lethal weapons to Ukraine .
We urge them to focus on constructive mechanisms to resolve the conflict peacefully through negotiations with all parties involved.
We also call for a return to the internal European political agenda while fulfilling their obligations on social and public programmes to their constituencies .
