Duolingo has chosen to discontinue the development of "minor" languages, including Welsh. Currently, that means that many Welsh learners will not be able to get clarification on questions they have, and that errors in accepted ways of answering won't be updated. Also, there won't be any further enrichment to what's currently available. Essentially, the curriculum would stagnate.
It was a previous FM that asked about adding Welsh to Duolingo that made it available on that platform. We hope that our petition would move you to persuade Duolingo to continue to have a vibrant Welsh curriculum that would allow us to achieve a functional fluency.
We come from different parts of the world and have varying reasons for learning Welsh. However, we all share a love for the Welsh language. Please support us in learning this wonderful language.
