Stop Discrimination in Korea
GD D.
started this petition to
President of South Korea
The increasing discrimination in Korea needs to be brought to the attention of the general populace and officials. Discrimination must stop now. In general, xenophobia [1, 2] in day-to-day social life has increased, along with discrimination against migrant workers [3] and migrant women, [4] especially who come from poor countries. There are many victims who are not seen and heard from. We cannot let this social problem be justified and in the dark. Corruption and flaws of the justice system in Korea allow for discrimination to continue, where discrimination becomes part of institutionalization by corrupt officers in the police, prosecutors, and even in the courts.[5] This is a kind of systematic discrimination by a chain of the institutions. It is a grave obstacle for multicultural society in Korea.
