Εμείς,
οι
πολίτες της πρωτοβουλίας «Με το ποδήλατο», ενώνουμε τη φωνή μας και ζητάμε από τους δήμους του λεκανοπεδίου Αττικής που έχουν ψηφίσει τα Σχέδια Βιώσιμης Αστικής Κινητικότητας (ΣΒΑΚ), να προχωρήσουν άμεσα στην ουσιαστική εφαρμογή των προβλέψεων τους για την προώθηση της ποδηλασίας ως μέσου μετακίνησης, με στόχο τη δημιουργία ασφαλών, συνεχόμενων και λειτουργικών δικτύων ποδηλατοδρόμων, τη διασύνδεσή τους με τα μέσα μαζικής μεταφοράς, την εξασφάλιση επαρκών θέσεων στάθμευσης ποδηλάτων και την ανάπτυξη ολοκληρωμένων ποδηλατικών υποδομών, συμβάλλοντας στη διαμόρφωση μιας πόλης φιλικής προς τον άνθρωπο και το περιβάλλον.
Διεκδικούμε δημόσιους χώρους που ενθαρρύνουν τη μετακίνηση με το ποδήλατο, μειώνουν την κυκλοφοριακή συμφόρηση, τα ατυχήματα, τη ρύπανση και προάγουν την υγεία, την προσβασιμότητα και την καλυτέρευση της ποιότητας της ζωής για όλους, καλώντας παράλληλα τις τοπικές αρχές να εφαρμόσουν τις δεσμεύσεις που έχουν ψηφιστεί από τα δημοτικά συμβούλια κάθε δήμου.
We, the citizens and members of the «Με το ποδήλατο» initiative, raise our voices together and call on the municipalities of the Attica basin that have adopted Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (ΣΒΑΚ) to act now. It is time to move forward with the actual implementation of these plans and actively promote cycling as a means of everyday transport.
We demand safe, continuous, and functional cycling networks, better connections with public transport, sufficient bicycle parking, and the development of complete cycling infrastructure, steps that will help create a city that works for people and respects the environment.
We stand for public spaces that support cycling, reduce traffic congestion, road accidents, and pollution, and improve health, accessibility, and quality of life for everyone. At the same time, we call on local authorities to deliver on the commitments already approved by municipal councils.
