Dear YouTube, Stop the Shutdowns. Reproductive Rights are Human Rights!

It's been two weeks since YouTube suspended the safe2choose account on grounds of violating community guidelines. YouTube claims that safe2choose is violating its guidelines by generating content that allegedly ‘encourages or promotes violent or dangerous acts that have an inherent risk of serious physical harm or death.’ Our marketing team already sent out an appeal and also requested YouTube to let us know which particular videos caused them to suspend our account.

We even generously offered to take down the offensive videos that caused them to suspend the account; however, they did not let us know which videos caused this, and they also denied our appeal.

We now see this as a fight against human rights and denying people around the world, especially those affected by legal restrictions to reproductive health information on the free internet.

We would like you to join us in solidarity to append your signature to let YouTube know that Reproductive Health Information should be accessible to everyone everywhere.

This is a call for anyone who cares about the free flow of information, human rights, and reproductive health information to help us let YouTube know that Reproductive rights are digital Rights and they are human rights.
