Things were quiet over Christmas, but yesterday Pegida took to the streets again, protesting against diversity and connectedness across religious or ethnic backgrounds. But in almost every city up to ten times as many people joined counter-protests, taking a stand against racism and even bringing Pegida’s marches to a halt. Now let’s take it over the finishing line!

Around the world, the media are already talking about the rise of the “nazis in pinstripes”. Pegida threatens to stand for a new type of division in Germany - it’s up to us to respond to it with a clear NO and to support the counter movements that are sprouting in many German cities.
