PAUL ROOS GYMNASIUM in STELLENBOSCH plans to celebrate its 150th year of existence in 2015/1016 WITH A HUNTING COMPETITION. (The winner may shoot and take delivery of the meat of:
1 Eland; 1 Oryx (gemsbok); 2 Blesbok; 1 Impala; 6 Springbok & the host will supply the meat of 4 (Four) slaughtered sheep).
The school plans to raise R150-million to: " ....uphold and further improve educational standards by:
1. Attracting and retaining well-qualified young and/or experienced teachers;
2. Making affordable housing on the school grounds available to young staff members, as it has become near to impossible to find affordable accommodation in Stellenbosch and
3. Maintaining and upgrading our infrastructure as necessary."
USING HUNTING AS A FUNDRAISER FOR A SCHOOL DOES NOT EDUCATE THE CHILDREN OF SOUTH AFRICA THAT ALL LIFE SHOULD BE RESPECTED. HUNTING IS KILLING FOR FUN ~ IS THIS REALLY WHAT OUR CHILDREN SHOULD BE TAUGHT?
