The greatest number of them have been living in the inner Nepal for several thousand years. Most of this people live in Chitwan, Tanhun, Nawalparasi, Gorkha, Palpa and Dhading districts in the area of western and central of Nepal. Darai indigenous people who have their own language, and traditional rites and customs, distinct cultural identity, distinct social structure are facing so many social problems and they are backwards in economically and education and health https://www.sites.google.com/site/daraiindigenoussocietynepal are losing their language also. Darai language is an endangered language, is going to be lost. Nowadays most of Darai people don't speak their language. But they want to speak their language and to preserve because they want to protect their language for their coming generations. They want to preserve their language by reading, learning. If we don't speak this language, it will be lost from Darai community. If the language will be lost, Darai indigenous peoples identity is also lost. It needs awareness raising program for preservation of the endangered language of Darai. It will be applied to Darai people immediately.
