Irish Government
As we see in the media every day, successive Irish Governments are very good at sitting on their hands when it comes to addressing serious issues of health. Despite the discontinuation of water fluoridation by most countries around the world based on scientific review, Ireland continues to add the dangerous substance of fluoride to our drinking water supply – a practice which can be regarded as forced medication.

Numerous peer-reviewed reports have shown the outdated ideas about the benefits of water fluoridation to not only be untrue, but that the addition of fluoride is in fact a danger to our dental and general health. Successive governments have stubbornly refused to accept that since 1960 they have held on to a policy which has been scientifically proven, by toxicological reports, to be misguided. But now we have an opportunity to change this.

The cost to the Irish taxpayer for water fluoridation amounts to roughly 4 million euros per year! That’s 4 million euros that we are forced to pay for an unnecessary and dangerous chemical to be added to our perfectly clean drinking water. With the government refocus on spending efficiency and its efforts to bring in water charges, now is the time for us to say: Water fluoridation is an affront to our human and civil rights - It is unnatural, toxic, and a waste of money - and now they want us to pay for it? It's time to say 'No'!
