Mid Sussex District Council
We object to any development of Haywards Heath Golf Course for housing, including the current Planning Application DM/20/0559 from Fairfax developers (see details and link below).  We want Mid Sussex District Council to reject this site in the ongoing 2018 Strategic Site and Economic Land Availability (SHELAA) process.  We support its protection as a valued local leisure facility for all ages - for members and non-members and local schoolchildren to learn and play golf; as a well-appointed venue with catering and car park, used by many local groups and businesses for meetings and by local residents for parties and functions; as a much-used network of footpaths for ramblers and dogwalkers across beautiful countryside; and as a semi-wooded landscape bordering ancient woodland that supports a huge diversity of indigenous wildlife – animals, birds, plants and trees.

DM/20/0559 | Outline application for the demolition of existing Clubhouse, Pro Shop, storage buildings, and 2 no. dwellings, change of use from Golf Course, and erection of up to 725 new dwellings, including 30% affordable housing
