The only way to save them is a global ban on ivory, and it’s finally within reach. China and the US have totally banned the ivory trade -- but shamefully Europe has refused, saying it hasn’t enough evidence that its ‘antique’ ivory markets are driving the slaughter of elephants.

So we've found a way to prove it :-)

We’re teaming up with Oxford University and top wildlife investigators to source 'antiques' across Europe, and radiocarbon test them! This could provide the sure-fire evidence to get the ban we need.

But it won’t be cheap. Avaaz may be the only crowdsourced funding model in the world able to raise enough, fast enough to get a massive, grassroots-supported, scientific study ready to lobby the EU while it’s reviewing its ivory rules.
