To EU Health Commissioner Vytenis Andriukaitis, to the government of Croatia, and all Ministries and regulators responsible for Health and Environmental Policy:

As citizens around the world we are alarmed that glyphosate is "probably carcinogenic to humans." We call on you to exercise the precautionary principle and immediately suspend approval of glyphosate, present in herbicides like Monsanto’s RoundUp. We request you include the studies in the International Agency for Research on Cancer's report in your current safety assessments, and ensure all reviews are transparent, based on independent studies, and evaluated by independent researchers without conflicts of interest. Until glyphosate can be proven safe, you must ensure people are not exposed to it.

Another scandal involving Monsanto: enough is enough! Top cancer scientists recently discovered that the most widely used herbicide in the world, one of Monsanto's biggest sellers, probably causes cancer. This poison is absolutely everywhere: in our food, our fields, our playgrounds and our streets... but right now we have the chance to get it banned -- and we need everyone to win it.

This month, the European Union is deciding on re-authorising glyphosate -- the active ingredient in Monsanto's RoundUp weed killer and also sold by other giant pharmaceutical companies like Dow and DuPont. These multi-national corporations are lobbying hard on all governments to keep this chemical on the market but a powerful resistance is biting back and Croatia needs to be part of it!

The final vote could be just 2 weeks away -- let's push the Croatian government to stand up against Monsanto and ban glyphosate. Add your voice now and share with everyone!
