Our Government could be about to create the largest marine reserve in the Atlantic to protect Bermuda's magnificent array of ocean life -- including dolphins, whales, turtles, sharks and rare birds -- while boosting our economy and creating jobs . But it's not a done deal so we need to make sure the plan has resounding support.

Our marine reserve would protect a vast ring of ocean around Bermuda while allowing current activities on the inside to remain unchanged. Government is considering protecting up to 3/4 of our economic exclusive zone but local experts say an even larger marine reserve is possible. If we build a tidal wave of support in the next few days and flood the public consultation process - we can ensure Bermuda makes history!

Bermuda could protect an area even bigger than Australia’s Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, which will provide the strong legislation needed to preserve our unique marine ecosystem . It will also be an eco-tourism magnet, set a precedent for other islands to follow and create a lasting legacy for our future -- with Bermuda as the world leader in Atlantic conservation.

The deadline for comments is this Thursday so we've no time to lose. Sign now and follow the instructions to submit your personal comments into the official public consultation which will guide the final decision .
