Windows XP has been sold and commercially exploited up till the beginning of 2011. Its OEM installation deadline first ended in October 2010.

Windows XP is still in use on almost 30% of the computers worldwide.

Many of its users lack the technical skills and/or financial resources to upgrade to a newer version of the operating system and are seriously harmed by the ending support.

Microsoft should take the full responsibility for its own success and extend the support for Windows XP; this until ending would impact no more than 5% of the World’s computers.

(Windows XP's successor Vista does not reach this 5% level)
