More than 5 years after the Egyptian revolution, Human Rights are far from being reached in Egypt.
Despite hope and aspirations for democracy and social justice, Egyptian Human Rights activists are instead being increasingly targeted, threatened, prosecuted in political trials and sentenced to long prison terms because of their contribution in initiating change.
Through its campaign, Human Rights Behind Bars in Egypt, EuroMed Rights and its partner organisations are launching a petition aimed at Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, calling for the immediate release of all Human Rights activists and the end of all forms of harassment towards them.
The campaign and petition address all Human Rights Activists wrongly imprisoned or continuously harassed in Egypt, but focus on specific cases
