XIX Governo Constitucional, Assembleia da República

Animal cruelty should be a thing of the past for all countries, including Portugal, which is a 21st century country. We were the 1st European country to outlaw the death penalty. We abolished slavery in 1761. Why can't we abolish bullfighting? It isn't even economically important and it sure isn't tradition.

We ask the Portuguese Government and the Portuguese Parliament to put a stop to bullfights, save animals and improve Portugal's position in the eyes of all the people of the world.

Do the right thing: Abolish Bulfightings now!
