Save California's budget: Stop the High Speed Rail
Michael D.
started this petition to
California Governor Jerry Brown
California is nearly broke, and we don't have enough income to support future pensions and entitlements as it is. The proposed high speed rail is a huge expense at a time when the state can barely afford to keep it's government running. We currently have a good highway infrastructure, and safe airports. The proposed rail system is completely unnecessary at this time, and will cost billions of dollars that we don't have. Our taxes are the highest in the nation as it is, and it would be unfair to expect tax payers to fund this project, until the state is solvent.
