Save school children from suicide in China

A 10-year-old Chinese boy jumped 30 floors to his death after failing to write a 1000 words self-criticism letter demanded by his teacher on 30 October 2013.
According to figures from the Geneva-based World Health Organization (WHO), 30 percent of the world's suicides take place in China, where 250,000 people take their own lives annually. Extreme and strict disciplines demanding children to obey instructions in China's education system put children at increasing risk of suicide.
The Chinese education governing authority needs to wake up. Class rules that damage children's self-esteem and mental health shall not be allowed in teachers' daily performance.
This shall be rectified by the government and whole society. Millions of young children shall have healthy childhood and school life they deserve.
