Why this is important

This is a request from the world:

Please send International Help to aid the clean-up and decommissioning of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant.

TEPCO and the Japanese government have done a very difficult job now for almost 3 years and yet there are still many questions to be answered. With radioactive materials leaking into the Pacific Ocean on a daily basis, it appears every day counts. And with the uncontrollable factor of natural disaster on the ever present horizon, we feel a larger work force is necessary to get the job done faster and more efficiently. For if something goes wrong, whether it be to human error or unforeseen challenges, we will ALL feel the consequences. Radiation is indiscriminate and can last for centuries. This is a global problem in need of a global solution. There should be a Nuclear Crisis Committee- separate from the NRC, WHO or IAEA- solely comprised of scientists, engineers and experts from around the world, who deal with nuclear meltdowns and their clean-ups. This committee should be co-funded by all the countries who use nuclear power in relation to how many nuclear plants a country owns and runs and how much nuclear waste a country has.
