United Nations Security Council, and the International community
The Libyan, in Tripoli and Benghazi, are suffering. The hope of practicing and enjoying a transparent democracy that many of them dreamt of is diminishing. Tripoli, the capital, is suffering from a barbaric assault perpetrated upon its residents by Misrata city’s Militias. As a genocide of innocent children, women and families through the uncontrolled street fighting between opposing armed factions battling for control of what is left of the city's international airport and the heavy shelling that hits several neighborhoods in the city, and the concentrated targeting of the city’s vital installations, this militia of Misrata city, the hometown of Muslim brotherhood, must all be charged with criminalities against civilization and brought to justice. Benghazi, the revolutionary and the second largest city in Libya, is suffering even more from a daily deadly terrorist attack to its activists and legal military men and youth. Al-Qaeda and the Libyan Islamic fighting group and their extension Ansar al-Sharia militias, took advantages of the weapons were permitted to come in to the country during the revolutionary war against Al Qadafi regime. And as a result, they are taking control over the eastern part of the country, standing against the Libyans chances of enjoying a peaceful and democratic civil country, claiming that they are working for founding an Islamic state from Iraq to the far west of Africa continent.
We, on the behalf of the Libyan citizens, are hoping that The Security Council Committee with the support of the US government, the Arab league and the international society as a whole to bring the resolution 1970-1973 into effect and stand with Libya through immediate, substantial actions before it is too late. We need an international engagement for protecting the residents of both Tripoli and Benghazi through urgent peacekeeping forces, protecting Libya’s vital installations and finally, providing a sincere administrative and logistical support, so with a second chance the Libyan would enjoy a real democratic, successful and peaceful country.
