We call on you to immediately ban the use of neonicotinoid pesticides until and unless new independent scientific studies prove they are safe. The catastrophic demise of bee colonies could put our whole food chain in danger. If you act urgently with precaution now, we could save bees from extinction.

If we move fast, we have an incredible chance to get the White House to ban the toxic pesticides that are massacring bees around the world.

Much of the fruit, nuts and veg we love depend on bees and other pollinators, so President Obama just asked the Environmental Protection Agency to recommend how to save them. But giant chemical companies are splashing millions of dollars on lobbyists to gut the plan before it reaches his desk. If we let them play dirty in closed-door meetings, they’ll win. But if we drag the discussion into the open, we can get a win for the bees.

The Agency will submit its report in a few days’ time. It’s a race to beat the lobbyists -- when 2 million people have signed the petition, we’ll deliver it to the Agency’s boss in front of the media, and place an advert where she can’t miss it. Add your name, then share widely.
