أنا الفلسطيني اللاجئ من بلاده أرسل إليكم باسمي وباسم اللاجئين الفلسطينيين المنتشرين في دول اللجوء رسالة احتجاج على المعاناة التي نعيشها نحن وأبناؤنا والتي عاشها آباؤنا قبلنا بسبب الاحتلال الإسرائيلي لفلسطين منذ عام 1948، الذي مهدت له حكومة دولتكم عندما أصدر وزير خارجيتكم السيد جيمس بلفور تصريحه بإنشاء وطن قومي لليهود على أرض فلسطين في الثاني من نوفمبر 1917، وما أعقبه من سياسات بريطانية طوال فترة الانتداب كانت مجحفة بحق السكان الأصليين للبلاد، وسهلت هجرة الصهاينة من مختلف دول العالم إلى فلسطين، ومكنتهم من الاستيلاء على الأراضي والأخطر من ذلك تسهيل حصولهم على السلاح وتدريبهم عليه.
وقد أنهت بريطانيا فترة انتدابها بفتح الطريق أمام العصابات الصهيونية لمهاجمة المدن وتدمير مئات القرى وقتل وجرح عشرات الآلاف من سكانها، فيما هجرت أكثر من 900 ألف مواطن إلى خارج البلاد.. وهم الذين لا يزالون يعانون من مأساة اللجوء حتى يومنا هذا بعدما تجاوز عددهم 6 ملايين لاجئ خارج فلسطين.

إن النكبة المتجددة والمستمرة التي يحياها اللاجئون تتحمل مسؤوليتها القانونية حكوماتكم المتعاقبة منذ تصريح بلفور عام 1917، ولم تعتذر أو تتراجع عن ما تسببت به للشعب الفلسطيني من تهجير وتشريد ومآسي متكررة.

نأمل منكم إيصال صوتنا إلى حكومتكم وندعوها للاعتذار عن ما تسببت لنا فيه من مآسي طيلة السنوات الماضية، والتعويض عن ذلك بالوقوف إلى جانب الحق الفلسطيني والقيام بمسؤولياتها القانونية والإنسانية للحد من الانتهاكات التي نتعرض لها نتيجة استمرار حالة اللجوء والتعنت الإسرائيلي الرافض لتطبيق القرارات الدولية وعلى رأسها القرار 194 الذي نص صراحة على وجوب عودة اللاجئين بأقرب وقت ممكن إلى ديارهم في فلسطين والتعويض عما أصابهم من ضرر .

Greeting,
In the name of the Palestinian refugees living in Lebanon and other countries of asylum around the world, I am a Palestinian refugee who sends you a letter of protest against the suffering we endure along with our children. It is the same suffering that our parents have been enduring because of the Israeli occupation to Palestine since 1948. Unfortunately, your country's government had paved the way for the establishment of Israel when your Minister of Foreign Affairs Balfour issued a statement supporting the establishment of home for the Jewish people in Palestine in November 1917. Since then, the British mandate's policies were unfair to the Palestinian people and it facilitated the emigration of Zionists from all around the world to Palestine. It also enabled them to seize more lands of the Palestinians, and more dangerously, supporting the Zionists with arms and training them to use it.
Britain ended its mandate by opening the way for the Zionist gangs to attack cities and destroy hundreds of villages, killing and injuring tens of thousands of its inhabitants, while leaving more than 900 thousand citizens as refugees. These refugees are still suffering from this tragedy and now they exceeded 6 million outside Palestine.
Your Excellency,
The renewed and continuing Nakba of the Palestinian refugees has been the responsibility of successive governments since the Balfour Declaration of 1917. The governments of Britain never apologized over the years for the displacement and tragedies it has caused for the Palestinian people.
Your Excellency,
We hope that you convey our message for your government and demand an apology for what it has caused over the past 100 years. We also call on your government to compensate that by standing with the Palestinian rights and to carry out its legal and human responsibilities in order to end the series of violations that the Palestinians are facing. These violations are a mere result of the continuing state of the refugees and the Israeli intransigence that rejects to comply with the international resolutions, especially UN resolution 194, which clearly stated “that the refugees wishing to return to their homes and live at peace with their neighbors should be permitted to do so at the earliest practicable date, and that compensation should be paid for the property of those choosing not to return and for loss of or damage."
