Scientists clearly warn that risking runaway climate change threatens our very survival, and the future of everything we love. We call on you to commit to keep global temperature rise under the safe level of 2 degrees celsius, by rapidly shifting our societies and economies to be powered by 100% clean energy. We call on you to urgently forge global, national and local agreements, and realistic plans, to achieve this end. Our world is worth saving and the time to act is now. But to change everything, we need everyone. Join us.

Climate - the most important petition we've ever done
I can sincerely say this is the most important petition we've ever done. Because our planet is headed towards unimaginable devastation unless we can seize this moment to rise up in the face of global warming and choose a future powered by 100% clean energy. 

We need to take a stand, fighting inertia, political lethargy, and oil and coal industry corruption with all the strength and passion we've got. We need to get everyone we know on board and do it RIGHT NOW, at unprecedented scale, to get the climate leadership our world desperately needs.  

Hundreds of thousands of us will take to the streets for the People's Climate March on September 21. Let's make sure that on that day we deliver the largest and most important Avaaz petition ever, calling for our governments to mobilise the world to shift to 100% clean energy.
