To EU leaders:

As concerned EU citizens, we urge you to immediately cancel all planned meetings with the Taliban. No more "male-only" gatherings should be hosted with one of the worst regimes on the planet. We also remind you that international law prohibits governments from deporting people to a country where they are in danger of persecution, torture, or other serious human rights violations – so sending Afghans back into the Taliban's claws cannot be on the table.

EU: Uninvite the Taliban
In just weeks, the EU is set to host the Taliban in Brussels. The same Taliban who lash women, ban girls from school, and let their people starve. And if past meetings are any guide, women will be completely shut out – a “male-only” meeting with the Taliban right here in Europe.

The goal of this meeting is chilling: EU leaders want to negotiate the return of refugees back to Afghanistan. These are the same refugees who risked their lives escaping. Now they could be handed back to their tormentors.

We have a chance to stop this. If we raise a massive outcry, we can force the EU to cancel this meeting with the Taliban before the first handshake. Add your name and Avaaz will mobilize human rights lawyers and a UN expert to confront EU leaders!
