A teenage rape survivor has been charged with “murder” and sentenced to 30 years in prison after she suffered a miscarriage. If we act fast, we can save Evelyn and make sure this never happens again. 

This isn’t new in El Salvador, where hundreds of women have gone to jail after seeking life saving abortions, or suffering miscarriages -- both considered “murder.” A law to change that was gaining steam in the legislature but stalled, now a wave of international outrage over Evelyn's story could break the logjam.
