Brazil is declaring war on the Amazon rainforest.

If it passes the final hurdle, a devastating new law will hand loggers, miners, and industrial farms the greenlight for destruction. They could eat the Amazon alive.

Avaaz has now spoken to dozens of Indigenous communities across the rainforest. Their rights and their ability to defend the Amazon are being crushed under this new law -- they are furious and more determined than ever to fight back!

So together we're launching a bold plan to help Indigenous communities reclaim their territories and regenerate vast areas of rainforest. Because the Amazon isn't just their home: the forest is family, and they are intricately woven into the rivers, birdsong, and the canopy above.
