Botswana: Stop the elephant slaughter
To the Members of Parliament of the Republic of Botswana:
As citizens from Africa and across the world, we call on you to keep Botswana’s brave elephant hunting ban in place. We celebrate Botswana as one of the world’s leaders in wildlife conservation, recognise all you have done to protect elephants, and look forward to visiting your beautiful country for ourselves. In the context of elephant populations being threatened across the continent, we urge you to keep protecting these majestic creatures and their unique habitats.

But now bloodthirsty hunters could be given the greenlight to shoot the elephants there for fun!!
When elephant hunting was banned in Botswana it created an island of safety for elephants. Now Parliament wants to reconsider the ban! It’s a crazy plan -- but we can stop it.
Botswana’s visionary environment minister has been a major champion for elephants. But right now he needs international support -- and we can give it to him. If enough of us join a massive call against elephant hunting, he’ll deliver it in Parliament to show the world won’t stand by while elephants are slaughtered in their last sanctuary!
