In recent days, Trump's new bestie has been relentless: flirting with neo-Nazis, spreading disinformation, and aggressively attacking progressive leaders in Europe. And it's thanks to X (formerly Twitter), the social network he bought, that he’s able to pump hate speech and disinformation straight onto the screens of millions.

But we can curb his power to do harm. Since Musk took control of X, advertising revenues have collapsed. Opposition is already working. Brands and media are fleeing the platform and hitting where it hurts: Musk's wallet - and his megaphone.
