To the United States Congress:

Kilmar Abrego Garcia was taken from his car in front of his 5-year-old son and deported to a mega-prison in El Salvador. His deportation violated an Immigration Judge’s Order, due process, and basic human decency. The Supreme Court has ordered the facilitation of his return but the Trump administration refuses to act. We call on you to immediately initiate a congressional hearing to bring Kilmar home.

It was just a regular day—until it wasn’t.

Kilmar Abrego Garcia was driving with his son in Maryland when ICE agents ambushed them. They took Kilmar from his car, with his terrified child still in the back seat. Three days later—without a hearing—he was deported to El Salvador, the country he fled as a teenager to escape gang violence.

The most shocking part? Kilmar did nothing wrong—no criminal record, and a judge granted him protection to stay in the U.S. in 2019. Yet he was deported anyway.

He now sits in a notorious mega-prison, caged beside the gang that once threatened his life. The Supreme Court ordered the U.S. government to “facilitate” his return, but they refuse to act.
