40.000 m2 astonishing coral reefs
To Royal Caribbean and Carnival Cruise: :
We are deeply concerned with your plans to build a deep sea port on-shore of Cayman Islands that could destroy an astonishing coral reef and the home to endangered marine animals. We demand you:
1. Cancel your plans to build a deep sea port on-shore of Cayman Islands;
2. Respect nature and biodiversity of all your destinations going forward and retrospectively, by eliminating all activities that could in any way be harmful and offering funding for restoration and long-term protection of nature that was already lost;
3. Pledge to fair collaboration with your destinations’ population and economy, including fair pre-book excursions; taking a maximum of 50% profit from excursion providers and carrying a minimum of 50% risk; and by pledging to eliminate and cancel all on-shore kickback fees and commissions.

But we can still stop this. Like all cruise liners, Royal Caribbean and Carnival Cruise depend on tourism for their income — and many people in the US and Europe are about to book cruises for their summer holidays!
Let’s expose these giants’ dirty practices ahead of their summer season! If enough of us join, we’ll take out hard-hitting ads on major cruise booking websites demanding that they cancel the port!
