Scientists warn us that climate change could accelerate beyond our control, threatening our survival and everything we love. We call on you to keep global temperature rise under the unacceptably dangerous level of 2 degrees C, by phasing out carbon pollution to zero. To achieve this, you must urgently forge realistic global, national and local agreements, to rapidly shift our societies and economies to 100% clean energy by 2050. Soul crushing pictures of a polar bear dying from starvation have left many of us feeling depressed and powerless. Scientists warn that global warming is pushing polar bears towards extinction. Imagine the entire global population of 25,000 bears suffering and dying like this one.

We can’t just recoil in horror and allow this to happen!

Paul Nicklen, the National Geographic photographer who filmed it, said tears were streaming down his face as he witnessed the gut-wrenching scene but he hopes the footage will break down the walls of apathy on climate change.
