As citizens around the world, we call on you bring a swift end to coal. Coal is the single greatest contributor to greenhouse gas emissions, drives acid rain and pollutes our air. Announce an end date for coal now, in line with the world’s commitments to stop dangerous climate change.

World Leaders: Bring down King Coal
Trump wants to be King Coal, breathing new life into this climate killer to win a few votes. But if we want to stop climate change, we need to outmanoeuvre him -- and right now we can do it.

A massive climate summit is just days away. Canada and the UK are leading a charge of countries setting end dates for all coal energy, and they’ve asked for our help in pressuring the most critical coal-burning countries, like Germany and Italy, to join them.

If we win this, it won’t matter much what Trump does — coal will be toast. 

So let’s do it! When a million sign, Avaaz will deliver our message at a huge march against coal right as the summit opens — then launch an all-out advocacy effort at the summit and cover the host city in ads. To save our climate, we need to bring down King Coal — let’s not miss our chance.
