Stolen from families, abducted from streets, butchered, and sold in dog meat restaurants. Every year, about one million dogs are killed and eaten in Indonesia.

But in city after city, Indonesian activists have convinced local governments to ban dog meat. Now, a national ban is on the horizon, and Indonesia’s parliament has made it a priority for 2026.

Activists tell us that international support will help them keep up the momentum and get the ban passed. Let’s back them up! When enough of us join, we will work with local partners to deliver our call straight to Indonesia’s lawmakers.
