Congress: end protections for child sex traffickers
To Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Senate Leadership :
Each year thousands of American children are forced into sex trafficking with the majority of cases linked to online transactions, yet websites that knowingly facilitate this remain unpunished for these crimes. We urge you to bring the Stop Enabling Sex Traffickers Act (SESTA) to the floor of the US Senate for a vote, and ensure its swift passage so that survivors, victims and their families can get the justice they deserve.

Even though Desiree’s pimp and murderer are locked away, there’s another criminal we must bring to justice: Backpage.com, the website where she was sold, is still selling children for sex without punishment. An outrageously outdated free speech loophole in our laws allows this -- but we’re on the brink of major change.
There’s a bill in US Congress that, if passed, will finally allow victims to sue Backpage and other sites who knowingly allow human trafficking. It has powerful backing from both Democrats and Republicans, survivors, and the tech industry.
We can’t let this unprecedented momentum pass us by -- sign now to end this for good.
