Emergency in Sudan

There's evidence of mass graves, child soldiers, and ethnic cleansing.
Now Darfur's capital city is completely surrounded. Almost two million people have no escape, communications have been cut, and food is running out. Experts call it a "killbox" situation.
The whole country is in a near-total communications blackout. Without internet access, social media, or on-the-ground reporting, Sudan doesn't make the big headline news, and governments are doing almost nothing.
But Avaaz members are helping to change that.
Through our funding for satellite data and geospatial analysis, researchers have been able to 'prove' mass atrocities, and map out which communities are in danger. The project has generated massive media coverage, and paved the way for sanctions… but we have to do more.
Everything Avaaz does is 100% funded by people reading this email. Your donation will help shine a global spotlight on Sudan, and power Avaaz campaigns for human rights around the world.
Sudan is sliding into the jaws of genocide -- but together we can raise the alarm, and help to force global action before it's too late. Donate what you can now.
