EU: Ban toxic pesticide exports now
In one Brazilian village, more than 90 people – mostly schoolchildren – had to be rushed to the hospital immediately after the planes sprayed. It happens all over the Global South.

Getting a direct hit of poisonous pesticide can send someone straight to intensive care. Long-term exposure can cause cancer, infertility, and other horrible health conditions – especially among kids, the pregnant, and the elderly.

In Europe, many of these toxic chemicals are illegal – but that doesn’t stop European companies from exporting them to Brazil and across the world. Only government action can do that.

Now there is a new window of possibility: seven EU leaders and more than 600 organizations are demanding the EU Commission end this deadly double standard – despite strong opposition from big business.
