100,000 signatures for a Plan against rape

In his small town, Gisèle's husband had no trouble finding 80 volunteers - from the nurse to the city councillor - to rape his wife.

With the trial underway for her husband and his 50 co-defendants, this unbearable tragedy reveals how trivialised rape is. Measures to end impunity have proven their effectiveness in several other countries, but the French president is hesitant.

Macron's reluctance to support the EU anti-rape law tainted his international reputation, and now he's keen to look like a women's rights champion abroad. If we gather tens of thousands of signatures across Europe, we could not only get him to support a comprehensive anti-rape package in France but also push our own governments to follow.

When we reach 100,000 voices, Avaaz and rape survivors will deliver them to Emmanuel Macron and demand that he make the fight against rape a priority. We will then use this achievement to defend women throughout Europe! We can no longer wait: sign and share as soon as possible.
