To EU Foreign Ministers and the European Commission:

We call on you to suspend Israel’s preferential trade access. Israel is violating Palestinians’ human rights. Respect for human rights is not negotiable under the EU-Israel Association Agreement. You’ve suspended trade deals over rights abuses before — and must do so again.

Last week saw hungry people in Gaza gunned down yet again. But now that Trump has bombed Iran and conflict is escalating, the horrors Israel inflicts on Palestinians are already slipping from the headlines. We can’t let what’s happening in Iran invisibilise what’s happening in Gaza.
