Today, the UN conference on the world’s climate crisis kick off, and a devious club of dirty polluters are already trying to block talks. They could bring the whole process to a halt, unless Europe can stop them by leading the way to a deal that can save the planet.

The US, Canada and Japan are trying to kill the Kyoto Protocol -- the only international legally binding treaty to reduce carbon pollution. European Environmental Ministers say they want to lead a strong push for Kyoto and getting in place a new binding agreement for all countries.
