To the chairman of FIFA’s investigation committee, Tokyo Sexwale:

As citizens of Palestine, South Africa, and the world, impassioned by the cause of the Palestinian people in the face of Israel’s illegal occupation, we ask you to provide FIFA with fair recommendations to evict settlement teams from FIFA. Recognising the settlement football teams would legitimise the illegal occupation, the apartheid Palestinians are facing, and trample international law. So as an avid fighter against discrimination, exploitation, and racism, we stand with you and respectfully call on you to ban the football clubs and take a stand against the occupation.

FIFA: Give Israeli Racism the Red Card

Tokyo Sexwale, the head of FIFA’s committee to investigate Israel’s unjust restrictions on Palestinian football players is visiting Palestine tomorrow. If we move fast, we can inspire him to give the Israeli occupation a red card.

Mr Sexwale has big political ambitions in South Africa, his home country which has long rooted for Palestine’s freedom because of similarities with the struggle against apartheid. If we send an outcry that echoes from Palestine to South Africa, we can get Sexwale to uphold FIFA laws which prohibit using another country’s land without consent. Given the enormous political pressure he’s facing from Israel and Europe, he needs our support to stand up for justice.

Sign the petition now to call on Sexwale and FIFA’s leaders to hold the Israeli Football Association accountable, and give it the red card it deserves. When we have enough signatures, we will bring this home to Sexwale in South Africa with ads that make this personal for him.
