Most of us have never heard of this – yet this could be the deadliest conflict of this century. It’s about Tigray, in Ethiopia.
600,000 people have been killed and 120,000 women gruesomely raped, in a conflict that remains unresolved and could soon fold into a full-blown war that’s been brewing between Ethiopia and neighbouring Eritrea. If world leaders don’t step in to de-escalate, many more women and girls could suffer the most unimaginable terror, and many more citizens could be killed – in utter darkness, cut off from the world.

Instead of holding PM Abiy Ahmed accountable, the EU continues to pay for a sham “transitional justice process” that’s effectively used to cover up ongoing atrocities in Tigray and elsewhere. Journalists are banned, there’s no media coverage in Tigray, new atrocities are on the rise, and war is on the horizon.
Survivors are desperately calling out to the world to stand with them and speak up about this. They’ve been forgotten, ignored, and denied – and when atrocities go unchecked – they grow worse. It is for this reason that our voices can become a lifeline for Tigrayan survivors and the people of Ethiopia.

Sign and share this campaign now to shatter the silence and bring much-needed attention to this conflict. If enough of us join, we’ll work with partners to bring our call straight to EU leaders at key meetings this month – and demand they push with all their might for justice, accountability, and lasting peace.
