Tseneat’s rapists shoved a note into her womb: “We will make Tigrayan females infertile.”
Soldiers in Ethiopia’s civil war sexually tortured Tseneat and more than 100,000 other women and girls in ways so extreme they defy description – all in order to end the existence of the Tigray people.
The international community has been silent so far, but there is a way to get justice for Tseneat and all the other women the soldiers abused and tortured. We can come together to demand the UN reopen investigations, the EU and UK sanction the responsible officials, and the African Union does everything it can to fully implement and cement the peace agreement.
