Consular access to Alaa now!

To UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak:

As citizens from around the world, we call on you to demand urgent consular access to British-Egyptian activist Alaa Abd el-Fattah, whose life is in danger as long as he remains in arbitrary detention. We call on your government to do everything in its power to reunite Alaa with his family.

Consular access to Alaa now!
Alaa Abd el-Fattah said he’d be free or dead by the end of COP 27.

He had his last glass of water as COP 27 opened last Sunday, after seven months of hunger strike in an Egyptian prison where he fights for his life and freedom.

But there is hope: As a British citizen, Alaa has a fundamental right to consular access – so Alaa’s sister Sanaa went to COP 27 to call on the UK Prime Minister to help save him.

Now Prime Minister Sunak is under fire for abandoning his own citizen -- but the UK’s new leader could still take bold action if he sees he can’t escape the massive uproar. So add your voice now and we’ll take our urgent call directly to the UK’s biggest media. Join now!
