When you hear Rumeysa Ozturk’s scream as masked, plain clothed men grab and surround her on the street, it will send chills down your spine. She was heading out to break her Ramadan fast with friends on Tuesday night when she was arrested and detained. Her crime? Protesting war crimes.

She is yet another US student of foreign origin to be threatened with deportation in a wave of arrests -- intended to silence anyone who stands with the Palestinian people.

As you read this, Rumeysa will be alone in detention in Louisiana, absolutely terrified that she could be deported at any moment.

Last week, our community showed up sending thousands of letters to Mahmoud Khalid in jail. Now let's all sign and share this campaign for Rumeysa Ozturk, and show Trump and his administration that we won’t give up and we will continue to fight for our freedom of speech.
