Wyndham Hotels, why are you in bed with the NRA? Until you pull your hotels from affiliation with the gun lobby, I will not set foot in any of your hotels or motels, and I’ll tell all my friends and family to do the same.

For years, the NRA has blocked any effort in the US Congress to impose reasonable gun safety rules. But the tide is turning against them. Yesterday, a major corporate funder of the gun industry announced it was pulling its money in the wake of the Sandy Hook tragedy. If we can convince other corporate supporters of the gun industry and the NRA to do the same, we can create a domino effect that permanently weakens the NRA's ability to stymie sensible gun rules.
Let's start by asking one of the biggest hotel chains in the world -- Wyndham Hotels, owners of Howard Johnson, Days Inn, Super 8 and Ramada -- to get out of bed with the NRA and stop being their corporate "affiliate" unless and until the NRA is willing to support sensible gun safety measures. Wyndham cares about its image and doesn't want to be associated with gun lunacy in the wake of this week's tragedy, so if we expose their gun-lobby ties, they'll respond.
