India: Pledge peace and unity in diversity
Isn’t it heartbreaking to see our brothers and sisters from India’s north-eastern states fleeing from other parts of India. But it is also a moment when we can come together as friends and ordinary citizens to send a resounding message of peace and acceptance for all.

The exodus began when a threatening SMS went viral, sending panic amongst the north-eastern community. Packed trains left south India reflecting the marginalisation and fear that many feel in our society. Together, we can turn this around by using social media as a force for good to help stop this hatred and suspicion.

Sign this pledge to stop racism against all communities and share it on Facebook and Twitter. When 50,000 of us sign, we will also put up this pledge of peace and anti-racism on a giant hoarding next to the station in Guwahati -- where trains to north-east India stop.
