Investigate Fox

To Senator Jay Rockefeller:

UK investigations show that Rupert Murdoch facilitated a culture of corruption at News Corp that resulted in widespread criminality at his British newspapers. As concerned citizens, we call upon you to launch a formal investigation into whether such lawlessness extended to Fox News and other businesses held by News Corp in the US.

Investigate Fox
Rupert Murdoch has been declared unfit to manage his company by a British parliamentary committee, citing his “willful blindness” to a culture of corruption at his UK newspapers. This week, we can convince Congress to investigate whether he’s doing the same thing here.

The Senate committee overseeing media is weighing whether to launch a formal investigation, and yesterday sent UK investigators a request for information. But its Chairman, Jay Rockefeller, is worried about picking a fight with Fox News in an election year. Only a huge show of public support now will convince him that standing up to Rupert Murdoch can win votes in November.

Findings of wrongdoing by Congress could cause the FCC to revoke Fox's broadcasting licences. Let's push Congress to do the right thing and launch a formal hearing to investigate Fox and other News Corp businesses in the US.
