A lifeline to the planet's defenders
To the Global Environment Facility, International Financial Institutions and all governments:
We call on you to secure strong funding for Indigenous peoples and local communities (IPLCs) across the planet, including by adopting the proposed Global Biodiversity Framework Fund 20% aspirational goal to IPLCs and to ensure all climate and biodiversity finance have earmarked amounts to such communities, ensuring their direct access to finance with full respect to their rights.
