As citizens of Japan, all G7 countries and beyond, we urge you to take action within your power to protect and uphold LGBTQ+ rights by legalizing same-sex marriage. As a first step, immediately establish a working group to study ways to guarantee marriage equality. Japan is the last G7 country still banning same-sex marriage which jeopardizes LGBTQ+ rights significantly – we urge you to ensure marriage for all now!
